Heather & Pete | Material Culture

Philadelphia, specifically the East Falls area, has personal significance to Heather and Pete. So it made perfect sense for this, now Texan, couple to say “I do” at Material Culture. It’s one of the most beautiful, unique, and fun venues we’ve photographed in Philly so far. It matches Heather and Pete’s personalities to perfection!

Our day started out meeting Heather, her hilarious and beautiful bridesmaids, and Mom at the City Line Hotel, around the corner from Material Culture. Immediately, we felt at home. This group of people is so special. As a best friend duo, learning more about the dynamic between our couples and those they choose to be part of their day is important to us. Understanding Heather and Pete through their family and friends was a true gift… a genuine, beautiful, and HILARIOUS gift.

We are so grateful to have had time to explore this venue with these two and their wedding party. This space is FILLED with creative nooks and crannies. It was a visual delight everywhere we turned. We love that their first look, portraits, ceremony, and reception was all in the same building… yet they all have their own unique feel. It was a day filled with art, love, and close bonds… a day we won’t forget anytime soon.

Thank you to Heather and Pete for becoming such fast friends and supporters of what we do. Thank you to the wedding party for the laughs, silliness, kitten-in-a-rug poses, and showing how badass you are. Thank you to Heather’s Mom for supporting our work and connecting with us on this day and beyond. It has been so touching as (new) Mamas ourselves.

We will never forget this wedding and the people that made it what it was.

(Maria especially appreciates the end of night booty dancing and boomerang proof with Heather).  😉

Pure first look love…

…and then one of our favorite parts of a wedding day, a focus on the couple and their love (the reason we’re all happily here in the first place).
