Emily & John | Philadelphia
Emily and John’s eclectic Philadelphia wedding was one for the books.
This two day celebration shows that the best way to celebrate your love is your own way.
<3
When we say Emily and John had a truly eclectic Philadelphia wedding we mean they had the fun filled, emotional, meaningful, badass wedding of THEIR dreams. It was a two day event in multiple, wonderful, locations around the city. We feel so lucky to have been their artists; capturing every intimate and genuine moments as it unfolded.
Emily and John are creatives across various mediums. So, it came as no surprise to watch their unique style and taste come together to celebrate this next life chapter. Every piece of this wedding represented them. It was inspirational.
We began this adventure at Macys. Yes, Macys in Center City. These two, surrounded by a small amount of their very closest family and friends, got married beside the historic Wanamaker organ. It was an intimate, emotional, and visually stunning ceremony. There was nothing set up or over designed. Emily and John desired a meaningful location and let it all speak for itself. – The Friends of the Wanamaker Organ were also so kind and generous. We were so excited to do some portraits there afterward.
We started day two with Emily’s family while her amazing Mama did her hair. <3 A first look and portraits at The Rail Park followed. It was an absolutely amazing hour spent wandering around. We are always so grateful when we have that much time with our couples. It’s the best way to create truly photojournalistic images during portraits. We had heart eyes for days after that adventure.
A badass reception at PhilaMOCA followed once the sun went down. As guests began to arrive we realized how fun of a night we had ahead of us. This event was so incredibly unique, happy, and emotional… we had a total blast ourselves. Some of the best parts included how AMAZING the music was, John grabbing the microphone, Emily’s sister’s hilarious speech, and the rooftop hangs. We ended our night literally dancing our way out of the door, blowing kisses to the couple, with a cupcake for the road.
What. A. Celebration.
And so we begin a gorgeous second day with Emily and John.
We are thrilled to announce that Emily and John’s incredible wedding has been featured in PhilaWedding / Philly Mag!
